The Professional Airsports Association (PASA) is a nonprofit organization created as a trade association for the airsports industry to help businesses. Originally founded to offer information on the industries of hang gliding, paragliding, kiteboarding, ultralight flying and parasailing with the intention of creating industry standards for operations, procedures and safety.
PASA has set standards for parasailing, ultralight and hang gliding schools in the past, but has been focusing on certifying kiteboarding instructors and schools for the past 15 years, so the previous criteria for hang gliding and paragliding schools is dated.
We are currently in the process of redefining the criteria necessary to become a certified hang gliding or paragliding school, with the intention of having criteria in place to begin certifying hang gliding and paragliding schools by early February.
